What is your favourite film?
Silence of the lambs.
This film grips the attention of the audience through how well crafted and brilliant the camera is used. To capture the closeup shots which create a sense of horror and feel as though you are watching this story through your own eyes. Breaking the forth wall so you can see the way the actors are talking to you through the screen. I also really like how the story is told of a woman through a mans world, it tells the story of a woman who has the world against her but then with the help with Hannibal Lecter she is the only one who can find the serial killer, so the fact this is an old film and woman is the main character and the smartest one in the film is really heart warming and encouraging, Furthermore during this film the attention to detail on background and design for all the backdrops are perfect. Each scene is done perfectly, when a scary scene is about to come on its a dark and gloomy setting swell as buffalo bills house with all that dirty room and bugs as-well as the makeup and costumes he uses off the girls to create himself a new girl. The reasoning behind this being my favourite film swell as all the exciting characters, plots and more. This film is important to me because it was the first film me and my family watched on Christmas Eve since I was 7 and the tradition has carried on every year since so has a special place in my heart even if its terrifying.
